Packed agenda for Day 2 of conference

There’s a packed programme for Day 2 of the Police Federation of England and Wales’ first online annual national conference.

The theme of the conference is Policing Under Pressure and there are debates, discussions and presentations on a wide range of issues that matter to members.

Dyfed Powys Police Federation chair Gareth Jones said: “Day 1 was a good start to our annual conference and Day 2 promises to be just as interesting with many of the issues that matter to our members coming under the microscope.

“It’s an opportunity for our members and our Federation representatives to really engage with decision-makers, senior figures in policing and the Federation about the future of the police service and the Federation.”

The morning kicks off with discussions on Use of Force – Objective or Subjective and Trial by Media, and continues with Understanding Misogyny in Policing and Investing in Investigators.

Recruitment During the Pandemic; Policing With Privilege?, Policing Protests and the Challenge of Difference are among the topics up for discussion this afternoon as well as New Regs – New Culture?, Wellbeing, Driving Change and a Federation elections update.

Gareth added: “It would be great if as many members as possible could join us for some of the sessions.”
