No1 CopperPot Credit Union is giving officers and staff the chance to borrow a loan with a reduced APR rate throughout July. Better still, loan repayments are taken directly from payroll to make the repayment process even easier.
The not-for-profit organisation, which provides financial services exclusively to the police family, is lending between £5,000 and £14,999 at a reduced rate of 4.9 per cent APR.
Plus, the rate is guaranteed as it is not based on members’ credit score but, with the deal ending on 31 July those looking to secure a loan need to act quickly.
Dai Gaskins, wellbeing lead for Dyfed Powys Police Federation, said: “No1 CopperPot is one of a number of organisations that we are working with to support members’ wellbeing – be that in a physical, mental or financial sense. We are fully aware that the pandemic has had an impact on all those aspects of wellbeing. In terms of finances, while officers themselves have not been made redundant or been furloughed, it could well be that their partners or family members have and that will have had an effect on household incomes and personal finances.”
No1 CopperPot Credit Union has more than 35,000 members and is the largest police credit union in the UK.
It aims to provide affordable loans and financial education to its members, as well as encouraging them to save.
All loans are subject to status and lending criteria.
