Remembering DC Paul Hetherington

Dyfed Powys Police Federation is remembering DC Paul Hetherington, who was fatally injured in a collision with a service lorry while on surveillance training on 18 October 1990.

Paul was with three colleagues - DCs Leonid Evans, Nicholas Tabraham and Roger Meyrick – who were all killed instantly. Paul succumbed to his injuries 11 days later on 29 October. He was 35.

Federation chair Gareth Jones said: “Our thoughts today are with Paul’s family and also with the families of Leonid, Nicholas and Roger. This was such an awful incident leading to the tragic loss of four men dedicated to serving their communities.”
