The devastating impact that an assault on a serving police officer can have was spelled out to local MP Stephen Crabb last week ahead of a crucial piece of legislation going before parliament.

Mr Crabb met with representatives of the local Police Federation, as the 'Protect the Protectors' Bill goes before Parliament on Friday. Mr Crabb is a co-sponsor of fellow MP Chris Bryant's Private Members Bill and met with Sgt Paul Laughlin of the Dyfed Powys Police Federation to discuss the abuse and assaults officers suffered.
